Liam J Hennessy is a musician based in North London. Combining influences from electronica, modern classical and ambient genres he creates cinematic soundscapes with intricate beats. He has a keen interest in using natural sounds and imbeds field recordings captured on a portable microphone throughout his music.
His debut album ‘In The Half Light’ was written at his home studio over the course of two years. With multiple layers of sound, the album explores the relationship between acoustic and electronic textures.
He has been writing music for various collaborative projects and as a solo artist for over 15 years. His music has been featured on all major television broadcasters and used on worldwide adverts. He has had airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and numerous DAB stations. He recently co-wrote the soundtrack for a short documentary distributed by Vice and premiered at Holly Shorts Film Festival in LA.
